Lego 42112 Cement Truck

Great set !! A must have for any Technic builders.. There is a yellow colored half bushing on top of the mini 4 cylinder engine on the model and it seems to be out of place and if you just flipped the axle where the color half bushing is now mounted on the bottom of the axle and make sure you put the gray colored cap/bushing on top. Now roll your model on a flat surface and hear and feel the taps and clicks . The model now would roll without stopping

Fun mixer truck with unexpected problems

My five-year-old is crazy about mixer truck and he really loves this toy. It’s not very hard to build. He built it mostly by himself and it worked! The mixer truck can function perfectly. But after he played it for an hour or so, the mixer truck now can not move forward. It can only move backwards. The drum works ok. So I think the issue comes from the back wheel. I guess he ran the truck too quickly and then something got wrong. Now the question is do we have to rebuild it from the scratch? The wheel powering part is among the first 25% of the progress. This is very frustrating. He kept asking me to buy a new one:-(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

That's no fun, a truck that won't move forwards! It does sound like something might be wrong with the build, so the best thing to do is to take that section apart and build it again. Pay close attention to the instructions, as even a small mistake can cause the model to not function properly.

awesome functional concrete truck

Although a little tricky to build at a few points, the end result is fantastic! Very cool that you can choose to have the drum turn automatically with the wheels or with the hand crank (or not at all - thanks for the neutral option as well). Steering mechanism very similar to the Mobile Crane, nice and smooth. The pistons moving with the wheels is a fun little touch (although you wouldn't normally want the pistons in the passenger cab, at least this way you get to see them moving). I'm not a fan of lots of stickers, but was able to get these on okay (long thin ones create the most difficulty). My only quibble is that there should a brake (maybe include chocks?), since the truck moves a bit when you use the hand crank unless you hold it. Highly recommended!

Got this for xmas, fun to build, took my time and spread it over a few days. Not as complicated as the crane but still interesting, love the 3 drive mode options, and once again lego excelled with gearing and drive shaft operation, would highly recommend this model

Amazing detail !!!

This was my first Technic set build and found it quite enjoyable. The detail in actual working differential axles is exceptional.
The directions and building process was smooth and easily interpreted. A very relaxing building but only rate it at 4 simply because cement trucks do not interest me much. As far as cement trucks of this type go i find the steering, controls, working differential and detail to make up for my personal lack of interest.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Always fascinating builds and this one has a multitude of interesting connections. In the end they all worked seamlessly to operate the functions. The design team did a great job. So many pieces, not too hard, great end result.

Great technic set

My favorite technic build so far. Directions were clearer than other builds. The colors are better than others. The moving pistons are awsome. The actual drum movements are very cool. Only thing bad is the hand crank for the concrete drum comes off to easy. Needs a longer piece that sticks out from the actual handle, like they do on the tires.
