We purchased this upon recommendation of a friend. So far we have only used 1x . The instructions were clear, the rice cooked perfectly (& we didn’t soak it, but we did rinse). The insert cleaned easily. Wiping the lid was awkward. I think over time this may be a difficult part to Clean. Time will tell. The dew catcher was easy to empty. It is a more expensive purchase than we have spent in past, but the rice did come out perfect.

I had an older version of this for many years and loved it. But when it finally broke, I tried to use my Instant Pot to make rice, but was really unhappy with the results (even burned the rice a few times). So I got another Zojirushi and it works like a charm. It's so nice to have 1-button rice cooker that just does what it's supposed to, perfect every time.

I can't believe they still make this design!!! My god I grew up watching this make rice in my grandma's house had to be easily 20+ years old
She passed away several years ago and seeing this was so nostalgic I bought one
