I bought the product three months ago and I am extremely disappointed. The product malfunctions at times and the printing output is barely legible at times. There are better alternatives in the market.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there,
This is so disappointing to learn about all those inconveniences the printer has been causing. I can assure you that we certainly build our printers with the intent of providing a reliable experience for our customers, so I can imagine how frustrating and disappointing a situation like yours can be.
Due to the possibly complicated nature of the issue, please reach out to us for support. We'd be more than happy to work through any troubleshooting or initiate a replacement under your printer's warranty. You can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite things a bit, I recommend gathering this information beforehand:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Your case number (from prior contact with support)

This is a good solid printer and scanner. My particular model does not have WiFi. This is my fault for overlooking it. I just never dreamed that a printer today would not have a WiFi interface! The cost of toner is high, but the quality is good.
Set up wasn't as difficult as other reviews make it seem. That said, I am probably more tech savvy than most.
A couple of minor disappointments: 1) You can't scan to a Mac from the printer's control panel, only from the computer itself (our old scanner had the same issue - must be some weird Apple networking thing). 2) Doesn't have intelligent two sided scanning where it skips blank pages
It took me 3 or 4 days to install this computer. Directions are very wanting for correct information. For example the instructions say it is recommended you use the cord that comes with the printer. WRONG ! Couldn’t print, couldn’t do anything. Grrrr. Also the instructions stated to hook the plug into the back of the printer port. There is none, only to connect to your internet. This is supposed to be an all in one and no fax port! Why. I am really not happy at all. I tried but need to configure the fax yet. Not looking forward to it. Probably doesn’t have correct instructions for that either. I have been a long time customer of HP. I have always written a very good review. I may have to switch companies.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The quality of the color print is good. Multiple envelope printing is very poor.
