This is not a Wireless printer. Needs to be connected with LAN cable. Description creates impression it is wireless, but it isn’t.

These are good printers. Sadly this one replaced one that was only 3 years old. Somehow a section of a document imprinted on the roller and printed it on every invoice ... We chose to replace instead of repair out of need to have a working printer. It was a slightly different model. We chose this new on the mere fact it used the same ink cartridges. They are not cheap! and we had those in stock already.
It was not what I expected. Does not do AirPrint as I thought it would.

The necessary HDMI cord was n to included with the product and the direction and online directions are not explicit that an Ethernet plug in or a router are necessary for the printer to work "wirelessly"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to contact for the item after weeks of no updates just delayed shipping. Missed an opportunity for a client because this was our replacement and we anticipated having this on hand to produce paraphernalia. This was a total disappointment...JUST PATHETIC.
We bought M479fdw to replace my old M477fdw and hoping that this last as long and work without any issues. So far so good (seems bit cheaper with material and display) and have not seen 3-yr. care pack registered under my account with which we bought with above printer.
Bought this printer seeing that it had wifi connections. However, the primary source has to be connected to a router via ethernet and then other devices can connect via wifi. Inconvenient at best and writeup needs to be clearer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
