Although I have only used the M479fdw for a few weeks I can see the quality built into it and I have no doubt it will serve me for many years to come as all my others have. Highly recommend it

I cannot keep a wireless connection to the printer. It I turn it off and back on it works fine. Not happy about that. It prints fine once it decide to work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used HP LaserJet MFP models 177, 477 and now the 479. M479 is a great machine. No issues setting it up. I was up and printing within 15 minutes on an ethernet network.
I will have to say compared to it's older brothers, the quality and solidness of the plastic of the M479 is a bit cheaper quality. But at the end of the day, if it prints 20-30 pages a day, scans a few documents and photos per week, and lasts for 4-5 years, then who cares what it feels like. As long as it does it job reliably.
