I have used HP printers for many years, for college, my business and personal use. I have never had an issue that wasn’t quickly resolved. Although I have only used the M479fdw for a few weeks I can see the quality built into it and I have no doubt it will serve me for many years to come as all my others have. Highly recommend it
Printer had lines in output copies, had error code on display. Returned unit for credit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I cannot keep a wireless connection to the printer. It I turn it off and back on it works fine. Not happy about that. It prints fine once it decide to work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used HP LaserJet MFP models 177, 477 and now the 479. M479 is a great machine. No issues setting it up. I was up and printing within 15 minutes on an ethernet network.
I will have to say compared to it's older brothers, the quality and solidness of the plastic of the M479 is a bit cheaper quality. But at the end of the day, if it prints 20-30 pages a day, scans a few documents and photos per week, and lasts for 4-5 years, then who cares what it feels like. As long as it does it job reliably.
Had my assistant purchase a Brother ink jet who know what. What a mistake. I forgot to tell her to get the Hp color laser jet. My IT guy gave up trying make the Brother even print black. Order my new HP. Amazing all in 1 machine. I love my new HP
