We have found this coffee maker to be excellent. I would note one thing about the filter. We find that if you use the paper filter as well, a lot of the water is retained and less coffee brewed. We eliminated the paper filter and all is great.

This coffee maker makes great coffee. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of two things. The clock doesn’t have a light like our last one did and I miss that. Also, there is no window on the side to see how much water you are putting in. You have to either put the water in the carafe first, or look down inside the coffee maker. We use a filtering pitcher so have always poured directly from the pitcher into the coffee maker. Not a big deal, but just miss those two features from our last Cuisinart.
