We have had Cuisinart coffee makers for decades. After needing another I found this model. Coffee is delicious, however I prefer the other model I own where they have a visible water level on the outside. Yes, I can fill the carafe, but the ease of the outside water level is missed by me. Being short, I can not see inside to check how much water has been added

I bought this unit to replace another Cuisinart that I loved. What a disappointment! The unit is tall and when it sits on the counter, I can only see the water measure from 8 - 12 cups. If I want to make less (which I usually do), I have to unplug the unit and put it on the table. Even then it is this side of impossible to see the water measure from 4 cups and lower. After that I have to re-plug the unit and reset the clock. Who designed this coffee maker? Either make it easier to read the interior water measure or put a water gauge that is visible on the outside. I hate working with this coffeemaker, would never buy it again, and do not recommend it for the above reason.

Love it. My main requirement is it is programmable. They only thing i don't like is the water gauge inside. I have to use a flashlight to see the cup numbers which is a pain. Otherwise, i live it. My daughter has the same one too.

This coffeemaker was purchased because I knew the product... had this model before and liked it. The only issue I have with it (and always have had) is the area to pour water into is awkwardly positioned and it tends to induce spills of water over the side of the coffeemaker. That said, there are solutions for that (like a silicone funnel) and it's a minor issue. The old coffeemaker in this style lasted11 years before giving out (and when it did, it was a hose fitting that I couldn't reach to repair, but 11 years is a good run for a modern appliance). The brew is fine, and the auto brew feature is easy to set and very handy.
