We bought this coffee maker primarily to replace the same model ruined when our condo was flooded from a neighbour's water leak. The main reason we like it is because it has mechanical controls instead of the ubiquitous push-button electronic controls which invariably fail long before the machine itself is worn out.

Has been an excellent product thus far, one minor issue is the water reservoir, is small area to see the measurement markings. The best way to get the correct amount of water for the amount of cups you want, is to use the coffee carafe to measure and pour your water into the reservoir.

99% if the time I make coffee for only myself. Every once in a while there is more than just me. I wanted a coffeemaker that could efficiently handle both situations. This coffeemaker has the versatility to fit my needs. A large capacity machine tends to burn smaller amounts of coffee. This one has a front toggle switch to adjust the warmer for maintaining the heat for 5 cups or less. And it works well. The machine is relatively easy to clean and the cone filter is readily accepted by the metal screen filter. The carafe is tempered glass and is easily cleaned. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to my friends.
