Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to difficulty in removing the filter basket for cleaning purposes. Instruction booklet does not show basket picture nor does it give any special instructions on how to remove it. I've had this coffeemaker for a little over 6 weeks and have yet been able to clean basket. All other cleaning instructions are provided including the self-cleaning setting. [Previous model which I owned for 8 years was easy to clean both basket and coffeemaker. Very disappointing both instruction booklet and removal of filter basket.]

Love this coffeemaker! This is our second one. The first one lasted many years and it just recently started to leak a bit, so I purchased another one. I am so glad that it is still being made!
I also have the Cuisinart DLC-7E food processor. I have had it for over 40 years and it is still working as well as it did when I first purchased it! I only had to replace the bowl lid because the locking mechanism cracked after 38 years of use!! Thank you, Cuisinart!

This is my second Cuisinart coffeemaker. I really like the way it brews the coffee, keeps it warm and shuts off in a reasonable length of time. However my first coffeemaker had a gauge on the side to determine how much water you put in which was perfect for me. My second one has the inside step gauge which is impossible to see unless you are quite tall. I’m 5’4” and my helper is 5’. We measure the water on the carafe but I find that inconvenient.

My last Brew Central™ 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker lasted 8+ years before it got so clogged up that it didn't respond to 2 successive vinegar treatments. The new one arrived promptly after ordering and has faithfully provided us with our essential morning coffee ever since. I suspect this new one will outlive me (I'm 78 and really don't expect to see 86!--But I might be surprised and will have to order another one again in 2031).
