I consider this product a classic. I have purchased multiple of these over the past decades. Whatever one has worn out after the warranty period, I have simply replaced it with a new one. I even bought one for my sister as a gift, and now she’s sold. As long as they keep making this model, it is probably the coffee maker I will use until I’m not around to drink coffee anymore.

The lid to carafe is time consuming to open, not an easy thumb flip. It takes cone filters which are more expensive. The opening to pour in water is too small.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker. The previous 2 had to be replaced after leaking from the water reservoir during the brewing process. They last about 6-7 years. The coffee is great and consistent and, but for the chronic leaking problem, it would have earned 5 stars.
