This one is okay but it cannot compare to the 14 cup model. The time window is almost impossible to read, the coffee is OK, but not as good as the 14 cup, the digital is much better. However, you say that I'm rather disappointed in cusinart products. I have always been a big fan of Cusin art, I've had some bad experiences recently. My first 14 cup just stopped working and since it was under warranty replaced it. The second 14 cup Smoke coming out of it one morning. So I just unplugged it and threw It away. Then I bought a 5 cup model would label which makes 2 cups actually. Perhaps 2 1/2

Consistent Brew and High Quality Manufacturing

I had purchased this make/model coffee maker about 10-12 years ago and used it everyday (give or take a few days here and there). It was consistent; the coffee brewed tasted the same each time. It was reliable over that time-frame; it always brewed to completion whether I used the "brew at a certain time" feature or if I just brewed manually.
After about 10-12 years, the machine started to turn off part-of-the-way through brewing.
In my experience, the life-span (10-12 years) of this machine far exceeded most modern appliances.
When mine started to be inconsistent, I purchased the exact same make/model because I was so happy with the quality of the machine and the brew that it brewed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great coffee maker, easy to use, fast. Would have given it 5 stars but the water level reading is not user friendly, it is internal to the water tank and not visible from the outside. You need to look down into the tank to gauge the water level, difficult for anything less than a full pot.

This is my 2nd purchase of this exact coffee maker. 1st one lasted 8 yrs & I came close to purchasing another model but my research kept bringing me back to this model as one of the best. I purchased the stainless but really wanted the silver color which they were out. The stainless works well & finger prints I feared has not been an issue..
