Three stars because it does great until the unit malfunctions. This is my third unit, the only reason I stay with it is the abundance of accessories! It would be a waste of money to switch now. Life span 3 years, however I like the design.

The carafe tucks into the unit better than the other units you make. Also the carafe pours better. The bought this maker because of the side of the unit has S.S. top to bottom and it has more of a retro look to it, with the knobs and toggle switch. The oval shape of the clock also promotes this retro feel. An analog clock would complete it.
