I love the look and operation of my coffeemaker. Our one complaint is that the lid of the carafe is very difficult to remove. I have broken my thumbnail several times when I push up from the end near the handle, and if I hold the sides and pull up it is hard to do!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Cuisinart Brew Central. The first I had for close for 10+ years and it died one morning this past summer. I looked around at other options but kept coming back to this one. It has just what I want; programable, 1-4 cups, auto off etc. Not too many options, just what is needed but more importantly a good cup of coffee!

Would like to have a back lit display and the wording around the knobs can be hard to see. Other than those two things it's a great product. I am also able to use much less coffee grinds than the older cuisinart model it replaced.

I purchased this coffee maker to replace the one I lost in the Camp Fire which destroyed my town. The fact that I ran out to replace my coffee maker with the exact model which I lost should tell you that this is worth the money.
