This is a good coffeemaker, but not a big leap from my former plastic coffeemaker. Its appearance is great, and the brew is good. I'm not sure the Carafe Temp knob with High, Medium, and Low choices actually has 3 different temperatures. The H seems to be the same as the L.

I have owned many coffee makers and killed just about everyone of them. But the Cuisinart stands up to regular heavy use. I brew 1-2 pots daily (everyday) and my last Cuisinart lasted 7 years. This one performs well and I expect many years of service from it as well.
