We find the coffee maker easy to use and makes great coffee. It replaced a coffee maker that occasionally allowed grounds to get into the coffee and we have had no problems. The only drawback is the gage for the water level. It is difficult to see down into the chamber and where the water level actually is.

I bought this about a month ago. It replaces an identical one that I had. I like it but don't understand why after about three years it starts to leak. This is the second one that I have replaced. I don't know if it is fixable. I also wonder what to do with the old coffee maker. Is there a recyclable program for these machines? I have two and hate to just throw them in the garbage. Please advise.

I bought my second Cuisinart coffee maker when the first one stopped working after ten years. There are some improvements to the design, such as, the on/off toggle switch, the water level is easier to read, the 2-4 cup button, etc.
