This is my third cuisinart coffee maker. Makes great coffee. Rated highly in Consumer report. All in all just a great coffee pot with all the extras.

I purchased this model as the Cuisinart coffee maker I had for the previous seven years totally quit. This model brews the coffee quicker, and after reading the instructions to set the clock and timer, I found it easier than the previous model I had. What is disappointing, is the previous model had an outside gauge with cup measurements and it was very easy to fill. This model does not have an outside gauge but the measurement fill markers (small numbered tabs) are on the inside and extremely difficult to see. Nine times out of ten we make a full pot (12 cups), and I can't imagine if we wanted only half a pot, how difficult it would be and we would probably have to use a step stool and flashlight to see the 6 cup marker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes good coffee. Nice appearance. 4 stars because the water reservoir is a little narrow and can be difficult to fill with water without spilling some on the counter. I hope this product is as good as all my other Cuisinart appliances.

Bought this a month ago to replace an identical one that was 5+ years old and died when it's heater insulation failed. Obviously we we're happy with it because we definitely wanted the same make/model again. It is easy to fill and clean and has all the features we could want (clock, timed start, adjustable warming temperature, small or large quantity brew, water filter, etc.). It gets daily use and we're happy with it. The only adverse remark I have is that it was not designed to be disassembled and repaired ( I tried diligently) but that should not dissuade anyone who is a normal consumer ( and not a technical geek like me).
