I bought this coffeemaker a month ago because I have owned one since 2005 and lasted for a long time. Coffee tastes great, works well with the filter and gold tone filter.

We broke the carafe on the old one. It was 4 years old so we decided to by a new one instead of replacing the old carafe. The new carafe seems sturdier! Makes great coffee. We use the programmable feature every day!

This coffee maker is number three (3) , they seem to last about two years before a problem arises. All the problems that I have had seems to be the same, the unit shuts off when ever it wants. It is suppose to shut off in two hours for safety but it does it whenever it wants. Other than that problem we like the unit
