I was so looking forward to this but was disappointed with my first try. Ice cream wasn't soft enough to come through the spout, which was the whole idea of buying a soft ice cream machine. Haven't had the energy or inclination to try again. Wish I could get my money back but I threw the box away having complete faith in Cuisinart products. Oh well...

The ice cream maker was good in theory; however I could not get the mix to thicken. I attempted making the soft serve twice and each time ended with the same result. I returned the maker to the store.

The machine does not produce soft serve ice cream . It comes out watery using the recipes in the book. I have churned it for an hour and it still doesn’t freeze up to hold shape. A disappointment.

I really wanted to like it but its not working out, a family member is diabetic so we try to substitute product and its failed miserably. It freezes to the sides after a few minutes then the mixer mechanism starts stripping gears and making a horrible noise as its unable to spin. Ive even bought another tub to be sure that was not the issue. Now even following the official recipe in the book it skips gears and fails to work. Perhaps we got a lemon.
