My grandkids loved the Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker. The ice cream was delicious and the mix ins worked perfectly. My problem with the machine is that the when the ice cream is the right consistency to dispense, within a few minutes it becomes too thick.
Love this ice cream maker! It's enjoyable making sorbet, dairy free Ice cream, and full dairy treats for my family. You do have to be careful of what utensil is used to clean ice cream out of the bowl so that it doesnt get scratched, so, it's best to leave the last bit and rinse it off with warm water. Cleaning the parts is easy if you rinse/wash them immediately. They are easy to take apart & keeping the bowl stored in the freezer and the rest of the machine together means it's always ready for the next batch of ice cream as soon as the bowl is cold enough.
Ice cream maker is fun and easy to use. It does take a while to have the mixture get to the right consistency but with practice it can be done. Wish that aspect was a little easier but it is fun to use.
This thing is amazing and makes ice cream really fast. The only thing I would change about it is to get rid of that whole mix in contraption. It gets in the way and is an unnecessary gimmick.
I've had the Cuisinart ice cream maker for years, but this soft serve machine has stepped up the game significantly. The kids love watching the ice cream drop onto the cones. I like that it has counter-rotating blades that make the resulting ice cream even smoother texture.
The ice cream maker works as advertised. I would have given 5 stars but I am concerned about the durability of the unit with all the plastic parts. Be careful to not overfill. The expanding ice cream will pop the lid up and could damage the gear(s).
