I tried to make ice cream twice and both times was a MESS! First time I followed instructions to a T, but it was a halfway frozen slush that poured out the spigot. Terrible clean up because no way to remove bowl without spilling slsh all over counter. Next time I froze everything except the mix, which was chilled according to instructions. This time, the contents stuck to the sides of the container and would not allow paddle to spin. One of the worst purchases I have ever made! I can't believe Cuisinart would ruin their good name with this piece of junk!!

The disastererous soft serve machine by Cuisinart

Poorly made and designed. The blades do not properly move the mixture as it freezes on the outer wall . This causes frozen build up which is too thick for blades to penetrate. Blades stop, motor overheats and shuts down. The blades are mere plastic and cannot do a proper job. You are left with a container with frozen outer and liquid middle. Unfortunately you cannot remove anything as all liquid will drain out thru the bottom—I learned that one thru experience. Talk about a disaster with it all over the machine, counter top, and floor. I’ve tried several recipes but they all ended the same. Now the machine makes a horrible”clicking” sound when you turn it on. Total waste of $$, ingredients, and time.

Not good for the money. Have tried several recipes that came with the soft serve maker, none of which turned out good, what a disappointment. Ice cream only comes out when paddle passes by so it. Ones out in short clumps. Took a very long time to get cold enough to not come out as a liquid only. Very very very bad product I would definitely stay away from it at all costs.

Don’t really care for this product:( I was totally excited for soft served ice cream but i still have not experienced it yet? The ice cream never comes out firm enough to stand on top of an ice cream cone!!! That’s a total disappointment:( whomp whompppp!!!

I got this for a Christmas present used it a couple times, ice cream never really got cold. Also said would only take 20 mins. when it took almost 40 min. Jjust not happy with the product at all. I actually returned it.

In addition to taking some time to get used to assembling, the add-ins jammed causing the ice cream to come out around the spout. It's almost like my ice cream got too hard and ran too slow. It tasted great and made 4 good size servings. Just going to take more practice than I hoped.
