This is a great ice cream maker! We recently purchased another brand that was less expensive. The idea was that, this being our first ice cream maker, we’d buy a cheaper one and see if we like the idea. It was very labor intensive and we didn’t use it. We purchased this Cuisinart maker and we have used it a lot . It’s super easy to use; just make up the ice cream mixture, pour it in, and press the right buttons.

I bought this because I was diagnosed with prediabetes and high cholesterol and want to make frozen desserts that are low in sugar and cholesterol. I hoped to be able to make a quart and have it over several days. But it turns to stone in the freezer. So I can’t use it.

This broke after only a couple weeks then cuisinart took forever to send a replacement and when it was finally scheduled to arrive the address was spelled wrong and the replacement returned to sender.
