Do not buy!

I bought some of these for my work place, but when connecting for the first time I realized the VGA and HDMI inputs are annoyingly close together, such that it is very difficult to connect both at once. Turns out, the dock only lets you use one or the other, not both simultaneously. Thus there is basically no reason for this dock to exist. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Necessary, but a bit disappointing in design and for support. The built-in USB-C cable to connect to the laptop [ThinkPad X12 Detachable] should be detachable or interchangeable with a longer cable to give more flexibility in placement. This makes it hard to place the unit far from the laptop, and more cords and cables jumble onto workspace to connect to the jacks at the back (especially the HDMI). Technical Support seemed to lack adequate knowledge on this new product to resolve issues with sound when connecting external speakers to the audio out (headphone) jack on the unit as Dolby Audio Premium will not function properly. Dolby Access provides some of the functionality.

not enough power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was recommended as accessory for my P14s which is also in the compatibility list. I waited 4 months for delivery, only to find out there there is not enough power to run the laptop. What a disgrace. I hope I can return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small dock is a great size and very portable, but I had an issue up front with the high speed USB port. I had to call Lenovo Support for help to find the right software update. I wish there was a light to show when it is properly connected. The big plus is the Ethernet connection as I regularly go places where I use it. Also the extra ports are handy at times that I'm using mobile backup or other devices. The dock itself is easy to pack. The dock is about the size of a standard mobile phone.
this device would only be useful if your laptop does not have HDMI or VGA, I was able to obtain the same setup simply by plugging in my mouse, keyboard, and monitor directly into my laptop
