so far so good. I was replacing an 8 year old laptop. Primary use is work related and this machine really helps me get my work done faster. The only issue I have experienced is sound related and I believe it is a windows 10 issue NOT an HP issue. I had the same issue on another laptop (Lenovo). Windows 10 really needs to get this fixed.

I waited 2 weeks for my Omen 17" laptop to be built, and another week for shipment. I opened the box and plugged it in. Wow! The keyboard lit up in 4 colors. Cool! But, that was all it did - no display, no fun. Sending it back for repair. Bummed! My other 2 HP laptops lasted forever...

I didnt want to spend a ton and didn't, got a better deal for the money and I spoke with multiple friends about multiple builds through multiple companies and this was the best value I could fine. Got exactly what I expected and spent less, cant complain about anything after a few weeks of use. Not going to play crysis on ultra but thats not what I wanted. The case does just naturally streak with oils and moisture present on your person. Wash and dry and shower and it still streaks but thats probably just my physiologically profile and nothing else. Would recommend and so would my more elite gamer friends for the money. Entry level, yes, worth it, also yes.
