I had low expectations for the quality of this product, but was pleasantly surprised. It is sturdy, the lift mechanism operates smoothly, and overall it feels well-made. I like the locking mechanism that holds the lifted top in place, and the fabric is a soft flannel texture, that is pleasant to the touch. We purchased the Dove Grey / Linen style. It is working well for our basement TV room. I would recommend this ottoman.

Beautiful and solid piece of furniture. With small children I needed softer furniture. Also it looks beautiful, the storage is a bonus.
