Legs from treadmill will tear through this thin mat

I got this with the Max Trainer primarily to protect the equipment from static. I've had the treadmill for six months. While cleaning under the treadmill deck recently I noticed that the legs from the deck have torn through the mat. After calling the Customer Care Department, I was told this isn't covered under warranty.
Cons: Flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tears easily. Does not hold up well.
