Good, solid wood console table

I am disappointed by the color - thus the 3 stars. The stain used on the wood is a lot darker in person that what is presented on the website. I searched for many weeks for the right color and watched the product video on Simpli-Home's site a dozen times... pausing to compare the furniture color to the browns and blacks worn by the dancing people to get the best assessment of the wood's tone.
What they show on the site/video is a medium brown with slight auburn. The actual product is not that. The accurate color of this console table is a solid dark brown, mostly coffee colored.
I encourage the Simpli-Home staff to update their photos so you don't anger others regarding this matter. If you're good with a sander, you might be able to take off enough of the dark stain to make the color match more closely to what's shown in the photos and video.
Other than the color not being correct, the furniture is good. Material is solid wood and craftsman did a good job with the lines and corners.
