Really, really happy with my Tramontina pots and pans. Would highly recommend. I've seen an immediate improvement in the amount of time it takes to cook and temperature consistency across types of dishes and foods over what I was seeing with the non stick set I replaced.

I first heard about Tramontina through a rating on America’s Test Kitchen and I bought a set. I love it, reasonably priced, well made, excellent quality. We recently bought a vacation home and I didn’ t hesitate, bought Tramontina for the new place. My spouse and I both really enjoy cooking and do pretty involved recipes. This is really chef quality cookware.

These pots and pans are wonderful to cook with. I haven't had any issue with food sticking, but I have always cooked with adequate oil. They are easy to clean. I have had some discoloration. I don't know what I did to cause this, but my goal is to have great cookware not decorative pots and pans. The small pot came chipped. I understand that things happen during manufacturing. I contacted them and they sent me a new small pot that arrived in about 24 hours. I'm very happy with my purchase. It is great that they go from the stove top to the oven. I'm so happy with them that we have gone ahead and added another piece to our set. Well worth it!!

Great Quality, Great Price

I was concerned about buying these pans because of the reviews about food sticking to them, mainly eggs. However, the pans were rated highly and they were one of the top two sets of pans rated by Consumer Reports; the other set being more than twice the price.
I did some research on how to cook with stainless steel pans and decided that the complaints about food sticking were most likely due to improper cooking techniques. I decided to take the plunge and order them. The picture attached shows my pan after cooking eggs. (It is not washed in the picture so you can see a little butter residue but you can also see that nowhere in the pan is there egg residue stuck to the pan.)
I did some research on how to cook with stainless steel pans and decided that the complaints about food sticking were most likely due to improper cooking techniques. The pans are heavy duty and provide for even cooking throughout the pan. I would suggest that anyone purchasing stainless steel pans, regardless of purchasing this set or any other, watch the YouTube videos on how to cook with stainless steel. Also, research the different kinds of stainless steel pans and I am sure you will find that the construction of these pans is of high quality and the price is unbeatable for the quality of the pans.
Key points when cooking with stainless steel: Heat the pans prior to adding oil; use the water test to determine when to add oil/butter (watch videos on YouTube to learn about this); use only low to medium heat.
While these pans are dishwasher safe, I would highly recommend hand washing and drying them right away to keep the shine and prevent any damage that can occur from chemicals in dishwasher detergents.
I find comfort in knowing that I am cooking with a high quality pan and not with pans that could possibly emit carcinogens into the food that I am cooking.

These are good quality heavy duty pots and pans! I'm used to using cheap nonstick sets and these hold heat so much better. I've had these for a few months now and they look and work great. They still look shiny and new. I wasn't sure if I would need this many pieces but I use them all regularly. I am very happy with this set.

I am new to triply clad cookware but have found it wonderful to cook and and easy to clean up! I am thrilled with my set and am happy to be able to supplement my set with other pieces to round it out.

Wonderful, high quality cookware

I have been cooking with stainless steel and cast iron my entire life. Tramontina is an efficient high quality product. I’ve been using this brand for about five years. I read some of the reviews and wanted to share a cooking and a cleaning tip. For cooking, especially when using a stainless tri-ply, make sure your pan and oil are hot before you put the food in-especially if you are frying eggs. For cleaning, buy “bar keeper’s friend” and a simple nylon scrubbee with attached sponge. You pans will be clean, and as gorgeous as the day you bought them. Don’t use anything that will scratch the metal as you clean. No high quality pan will tolerate consistent scratching of its surface for long. Treat your pans right and they will last for your life time and beyond.

This set looks fantastic out of the box, and my husband who likes to cook much more than me was so excited to use them. He has been impressed so far, and says they cook so evenly. However, I am the one that washes them, and I am not a fan. They are so hard to clean! I get that I am used to nonstick, but we also use a lot of cast iron and that is way easier to clean even with having the extra step of seasoning it. I had seen that sometimes you may have to use Bar Keeper's Friend on these, and even with that sometimes I struggle to get them clean (and that is not anything burned or scorched on the pans, just from regular cooking). One time we did make something that slightly scorched and I literally spent 30 minutes cleaning the one pan!! And then they just spot so easily, I feel like they will never look as good as they did upon opening the box. We do have kind of hard water, but even using softened water and towel drying they just spot right away. This is my first stainless steel set so I have nothing to compare them too, but I personally wouldn't buy these again. For this amount of money you shouldn't dread using them for fear of what the cleaning process will be like, or how long it will take.
