This is my second CPB-300. The first one lasted about 6 years with daily use so there was no question that I would replace it with the same model. I kept all the attachments from the first one so I have plenty. I make frappes and smoothies with no problem crushing ice or frozen fruit. It takes up very little counter space and looks great. I seldom use my big blender.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received this blender as a gift while living at home. I enjoyed using it weekly for a year or two, then it sat in the cupboard because I had no use for it. Tried to use it the other day, and the blender doesn't receive any power. Even if the blender is 10 years old, I think it should still work. I thought Cuisinart made higher quality, and longer lasting products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this blender a lot, but I'm really glad it has a three year warranty. I just received my fifth one in about five years. I've never crushed ice in it, but I do make a (frozen) banana protein shake every morning. The frozen chunks of banana are smaller than an ice cube, and I wouldn't think they'd be as hard, but the tall blade always fails after just about a year of use. It usually just seizes up, but this time a part of it actually broke off. This protein shake is the only thing I have ever used the blender for, and I still think it's a great blender.
