I bought this coffee maker to replace my last one which lasted over 20 years. The old coffee pot just happened to be a Cuisinart! It still made great cup of coffee but the clock finally gave out so I could not set the "Auto On" feature. When I unpacked and set-up my new Cuisinart it felt like "deja vu"and it makes a great cup of coffee! I purchased my new Cuisinart because my old one lasted for so long without any major problems. Cuisinart is definitely a very dependable product.

The Brew Central coffeemaker seems to be a quality machine. This maker brews a 12 cup pot of coffee pretty quickly and is very user friendly. However, there is a flaw in the design of the water trough lid.
The design of the lid enables the condensation, on the lid bottom, to drip off behind the coffee maker when opened. We had to put a towel behind the coffee maker to catch the water run off from the lid.
Overall, we like it and would buy another one despite the lid design flaw.

First cuisinart we had 6 years loved it when it needed to be replaced we went with another brand Inferior tasting coffee, clumsy filling, not programmable, ugh. Searched for and replaced it with the cuisinart. Go with satisfaction not availability and price.
