I purchased 2 of these that are not working like advertised! The first one I was really pleased with the color (Red) and all the features! The only problem was all the features didn't work! First the brew temp didn't work. It always stayed on low no matter if you set it on med or high! Also the auto off feature did not work, it always went off after 2 hours even after you set it on 3 or 4 hours! On the upside it did make good coffee!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few weeks ago to replace a Cuisinart coffee/hot water maker that died. This coffee maker brews excellent coffee. The only reason I’m not rating it 5 stars is the previous Cuisinart had a water leve window that allowed easy visibility to the amount of water poured in. You have to carefully measure the water in the decanter with this unit.

We have this model before. It makes great coffee when it works correctly, which is most of the time. I have a Cuisinart grinder as well. However, it has overflowed several times in the month I've had it. My fault the first time because I didn't "pop" the filter basket that final click down. Rinsed and shook and ran water through it multiple times. Apparently it still has grounds caught in the water dispensing tube. Cuisinart has excellent warranty service, so I will send it in after I buy a 2nd pot.
