It makes great coffee. Will take either mesh or paper filters. The programmable feature is easier to use than on the last (not Cuisinart) coffee machine we had.
The only possible concern with this unit: to fill the water reservoir, for shorter people like me it seems easiest to fill the empty glass carafe and pour that into the reservoir, rather than using a measuring cup and trying to precisely gauge how much water you actually poured in.

It has been a few months since the purchase of this product. It is difinitly craftsmanship at its best, and a product that is well built and very dependable and from the built in water filteration which leads to the perfect cup of coffee time and time again. This unit was a replacement for our last cuisinart that lasted us over seven years. We could not even imagine having another brand in our kitchen it’s like that saying goes you get what you pay for.
