The pro & the con of new Cuisinart coffee maker.

This is our third Cuisinart coffee maker in 20 years. The first two were the same design, the new one is different. One thing I don't like about the new one is that the water reservoir doesn't have a clear window on it. The user must put the correct amount of water in the pot, then in the reservoir, rather than just putting it directly into the reservoir. However, the pot is much better than the old one, because it doesn't spill out the sides of the spout when coffee is poured.

This is the third purchase of this model. Cannot say anything bad about it. This item was purchased a long time ago, given to a family member and subsequently returned. Not everyone agreed this is the way to go. Actually, family member installed an automated Bunn system so this coffee maker was not needed. Two previous models withthe twist on/off have been ised for years and handed down to friends. Expect this one to last many years.

The on button intermittently works. It must be hit several times in order for the machine to start working and for the light to go on. I always order this model when one fails, but I might have to be looking for another choice since this seems to be the recurring problem with this unit.
