I have had other Cuisinart Coffee pots but they have been larger and have taken up more space. This one is still a 12 cup but fits in a smaller space and still has all the bells and whistles. I really like it and it makes great coffee!

I do like the coffee maker a lot- however I have broken the carafe on a previous coffeemaker of the same type. If you could have a non breakable carafe that would bring this up to 5 stars.

when I unpacked my coffee maker the water receptical had a crack about 1/2 inches long. I contacted Cuisinart and they told me it was not a replaceable part and call the company I purchased it from. That I did and was told I could return it leaving me without a coffee maker for as long as it took for them to verify and return a new one. I decided to keep the coffee maker and hope the crack does not progress into a problem.I thought this was pretty tacky on Cuisinarts part. This will likely be the last thing I will buy that they make.

Replaced older model. Needs reprogramming when power interrupted. Reprogramming is criptic and the manual is needed to complete. If using paper filter, wire basket is still required or water and coffee grounds spilledas it overflows.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
