After 3 Mr. Coffee makers that lasted less than a year each a change was needed. I was tipped off at the store when there was just one of the Brew Central coffee makers left on the shelf surrounded by dozens of Mr. Coffee makers. It was a little bit more but well worth the money. 12 cups brewed in about 5 minutes was a new experience for me. Cuisinart you've made my mornings!

We originally had this same model for years. When it stopped working we bought another one. The setting to grind only 3 tbs of coffee used to be around 6 - the new one about 12. We sent it back because we thought we would burn the motor out. It was replaced but the replacement is almost the same. Not sure if I would recommend buying this.

This replaced a Cuisinart coffee maker that lasted 17 years and made excellent coffee. The new one is made of thin plastic and in order to get a good cup of coffee, I have to add more coffee to less water. Would love advice on getting a good pot of coffee without using an excess amount of coffee.
