I have had 2 other Cusinarts, one for 5 years and the other only 1 1/2 years. The reason I chose to get another is because I liked the features of it and hoping the second one I had was just a lemon, Fingers crossed.

overall good - makes good coffee with correct temp.
filling water is not the smoothest. need to use the carafe because water reservoir is not transparent so carafe is the only way to measure water used. also in theory there's water left in the carafe to dilute the coffee unless you thoroughly dry the carafe which is cumbersome in the morning.
gold tone filter is small and does not stand properly when filling with coffee. it's worse if paper filter is used. if not properly propped up filter upends sideways spilling half the coffee.
