I replaced my old one which was a different model. The only thing I don't like about this model is that you have to fill the carafe with water to measure because there is no way I can see down into the water reservoir to see the fill line, come on it is up on top of a counter. My old one had a window in the side that was great, I could fill with my faucet and stop right on the correct amount. Not sure why they would not have this feature on all the models. Other than that it makes good strong coffee which I like, carafe heater works great keeps coffee scalding hot. I set timer to have coffee ready 15 minutes before I get up in the morning so nice and hot when I am ready. The knobs are a bit hard to turn but once I have in place I don't touch much.
