This Cuisinart coffeemaker replaces an older model. I liked the old one enough to get a new one just like it. The only difference is this one has a toggle on off switch where the previous model had a rotary on off switch. Just like the previous model it works well and makes good coffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Its good! The only think we didn’t like about was the measure numbers to know how much water you are putting in its inside and you can’t see it until it gets to 8. I think you should be able to see it from the out side like my older one.

Makes great coffee. Is hot and this keeps the coffee from being bitter, like so many drip coffee maker! A water level sight glass would be a improvement. If it last as long as many of the reviews say, I will raise my rating to 5 stars!

Brews a good cup of coffee. Fast. Couple design flaws... when you open the top to add water or replace filter, the condensation on the lid drips down the outside on the back, right onto the plug in wire. Also, no external sight glass to see how much water is in the reservoir. You have to look down from the top... my coffee making area is elevated, so i can't see if there is water in it.
