The coffee pot makes good-tasting coffee. The drawback is it has no visible water reservoir on the outside. One has to shine a flashlight into the reservoir to fill if you are only making a few cups. We often make a few more cups after the first pot, and the carafe is still hot so we cannot use it to pour cold water into the reservoir. This is a big drawback, and the company, when contacted, was not willing to compensate in any way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this to replace the same model, which I purchased 14 years ago. The one I've had for 14 years actually still works well, but occasionally it would turn itself off during the brewing cycle, and I would have to restart it. I looked at other models, but I just loved the one I had. So, I bought another one just like it. It's a great coffee maker.

Have used this about three weeks. Brew session not long which means you get coffee quickly. Making larger amount means there’s more available at later time.

This is my 2nd 12 cup programmable Cuisanart. I have 1 at our lake house. Bottom line it just makes a better cup of coffee. I’ve tried many and none compare to the speed and great taste of my Cuisanart. The quality and added features make this a superior coffee machine and at the price, a great value as well.
