This is a replacement for the 1st one we bought. It quit working a week after we got it. Poor design. The ground coffee doesn't empty as it should and gets the grinder stopped up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this coffee grinder daily for nearly a month now, and have had absolutely no problems. For my needs, I grind beans to a near-espresso fineness (usually), and after zeroing-in on a proper setting to get the consistency I desire, the machine consistently grinds to that fineness as expected. This is my first conical-burr grinder, so I have nothing to compare it to, but can't imagine any other machine that would do a better job. The grinding process is quick and relatively quiet, and the machine looks rather nice on my kitchen countertop.

This burr mill grinder is just what I was looking for. However you like your coffee, this mill has your setting to give you that perfect ground. It also is an easy clean burr mill. And of course it's a Cuisinart so the Quality is first rate. A great burr mill grinder.

Excellent Quality of Grind and Size settings

I have used this grinder for over a month now on a daily basis. I read a large number of negative reviews but sometimes you have to consider quite a few people do not understand and follow directions. So I purchased this anyway despite those negative reviews. I have found the grind quality of this grinder to be excellent. It is quiet and settings for volume of grind are very accurate. I have weighed the grounds to see how much variance there is between batches and the very few Milligrams of difference are negligible. If this unit ever stops working I will absolutely buy another just like it. It is visually pleasing in the Kitchen and fits well with all my other fine Cuisinart appliances I have in my kitchen. It is easy to clean, easy to fill, and produces much less static cling to the grind than any other grinder I have used. I would recommend this grinder to anyone who loves to grind and make their own fresh coffee. Thanks Cuisinart for another great machine for my Kitchen.

Been buying ground coffee for years, but after reading some have been found to be adulterated with fillers or worse, I decided to grind my own. I want to be as careful as possible with the things I eat and drink. This coffee grinder gives me a little more peace of mind. It's very attractive on my counter, compact, well designed and built, and it gives my kitchen the lovely aroma of fresh ground coffee. Very happy with my purchase.
