I absolutely love how this fits in the camera pack and it is perfect if I just want to bring a few things along with me for the day. I have a Z6 and it is a little difficult to jam into the cube as it is a little too tall, but it does work and has kinda molded to it over time. The bag is a little awkward if you don't have anything in the backpack part. I brought it on a hike and had a jacket in there and it was comfortable, but when it got colder and I put my jacket on the bag was awkward without anything in the backpack. There is a secret zipper in the backpack on the cushion part and that is a pretty sweet feature.

Hi! I recently purchased the McKinnon Cube Pack 21L back in November as a Christmas present for my boyfriend! Everything was great and as advertised! However, a couple weeks later I noticed that your new models have built in water bottle holders! That was the only "complaint" I really had from the version that I got.. Any help in terms of perhaps making an exchange would be greatly appreciated!!

I just got my hands on the cube, and found the zip direction is the opposite from update 4 of the Kickstarter, which makes the quick access from the sample video impossible. And the bottom of the cube is not even deep enough to store my mirrorless aps-c Fuji.

I love the idea! The only problem, and a major one, is that my camera doesn’t fit in it when lens is attached to it in “ready to shoot” mode. Canon EOS 6D MkII is too high to fit in the camera compartment of the Cube pack. Without the lens installed it still fits but extra time and effort is needed to take out the camera body, attach lens to it and put them back after use. This also diminishes the amount of useful space in the Cube pack as the body needs to lay flat instead of standing up.

The space for camera equipment

The space for camera equipment is limited and it can only fit my Canon EOS 90D with my standard 15-85 mm lens. There is no space for additional lenses, but it can fit my filter pack and additional batteries.
Unpacking of the top half was easy. The cube will be useful together with the McKinnon photo bag for 3-4 day stays. But I haven't tested this yet.
