I've used this watch on the slopes of a Colorado ski resort and I've used it while swimming in the lakes of the PNW and everywhere I go it goes with me. I love the battery life and gps capabilities. With the built in activity tracker it's easy to log whatever I'm doing and quickly. No messing around with phone app's required. If you do want an app though the Garmin connect app is a great way to gain insight to the biometric data the watch collects for you. The wear and tear after a year of heavy use is starting to show but it doesn't appear to be breaking.

Don't really like watches but work in the in the fire and Ems systems and watch is really comfortable and lighter than I was expecting for all the options on the watch, which I have not figure all of them out yet. Easy to work and navigate. Would definitely recommend this watch.
