Beware of inflatable ring

This is my 3rd 18x48 Easy set pool that I have purchased over a period of 15 years so I feel as though I am qualified to comment on the quality of the pool. My first two pools were durable and lasted through our Texas summer for many years. I did not leave them up all year; only during the summer months. The liner itself is strong and durable. My last pool I purchased in May 2018 was just a new liner since I had all attachments and pumps already. This pool only lasted Summer 2018 and half of this 2019 summer before the inflatable ring disintegrated. The vinyl dried out and cracked. I am sick about it, especially since my 1st two pools lasted me through multiple summers. I am 65 years old so there was no reckless abuse of the ring; just a lesser quality of vinyl that cannot hold up to summer conditions. I am in hopes Intex will read this review and offer some type of warranty on their product. I hate to miss out on my pool next year but I will not be ordering another Easy Set pool. Of note, it is very difficult to dispose of an 18x48 pool liner and the sad thing about it is, my liner still appears to be brand new; only with a dried out ring that is full of rips. :(
So beware if you expect to use this pool multiple summers. The ring quality just is not durable any longer.

Intex 18' Easy Set

Two years ago I bought one of the Easy Set pools. After cleaning it and folding it carefully, it was put away for winter. When I put it up for the next summer, leaks sprang up all over it. So I bought another one. Again, I was cautious when I took it down, but as I folded it, I noticed tiny breaks on the folds. I unfolded it, and sure enough, just folding it caused the liner to be full of pinprick holes along the folds. I threw it away and just decided I would have to buy a new liner every year. Now nothing is available. What a disappointment Intex pools have proved to be. (I realize the California shutdown is not your fault, but the faulty product is!"

Why did you stop including a surface skimmer...it is absolutely necessary to keep the pool clean? Would have rated 5-stars, but without a skimmer capability, bugs, leaves etc just sink and make a mess.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is actually the 2nd pool like this we have bought. The first one was when our kids were much younger. We used this pool for 5 summers with absolutely no problems. We then moved to a rental property that could not accommodate the pool. Now that we own our new home, when we were looking for an aboveground pool, this was our first choice!! The value is outstanding

It's not as easy as it looks. I thought the ground was level and filled it up, it lasted 5 minutes and fell down. Now it's level but only fills to barely 3 feet

Easy and fast setup. Only problem was getting all the wrinkles out of the bottom of the pool. Otherwise very happy with my 3rd pool over 15 years.

Easy set pool

I've had 3 in the last 5 years. Once you get a tear or hole in the ring it's impossible to completely patch and hold air. Pool itself is good but inferior ring quality. Was told n better version was coming 2023 but have yet to see any information you'd think they'd make a product especially for the ring that works. I'm buying an ultra next time

Instructions could be a little more detailed, but once my wife and I figured it out pool went up without a hitch.(I believe a average air compressor helped)
