I’m a bit concerned about this purchase. Only have it for a month, I noticed today that the glass top has a scratch on it! I’ve had at least three stoves with glass tops and never had any problems. Our last stove was 20 years old, hardly a mark.
I really wish that the timer would ring much louder. Never had a stove with such a wimpy timer.
I’ve baked bread in it and yes the “proof” setting worked fine however would be nice to be able to set a temperature if I prefer it warmer.

We are sorry to hear that you noticed a small scratch on your glasstop. Before using the glass cooktop for the first time, we recommend cleaning it with an approved cooktop cleaner like Weiman's or CeramaBryte Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner. This helps protect the cooktop and makes cleanup easier. Daily use of this cleaner will also help keep the cooktop looking new. Use of sponges or cleaners other than those recommended can result in damage to the cooktop.
Normal Daily Use Cleaning:
- If using the cream version of CeramaBryte® Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner (WX10X300), shake the cleaning cream well and apply a few drops directly to the cooktop. If using the spray version of CeramaBryte® Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner (WX10X391), spray a small amount on the cooking surface.
- Use a paper towel or CeramaBryte® Cleaning Pad (WX10X350) to clean the entire cooktop surface.
- Use a dry cloth or paper towel to remove all cleaning residue. There is no need to rinse; however, it is important that you do not heat the cooktop until the cream has been cleaned off.

So far so good, just 1 hiccup in beginning

So far so good, kitchen isn't completely redone so we haven't been able to do too much crazy cooking on it. The one hiccup is that one of the screws for the terminal block was screwed in waaaay too tight for me to unscrew to hook up power cord and I didn't want to break it, but they sent someone out to remedy that quickly. So kudos to that!

Great appearance and cooking space

We looked at several double ovens and finally choose this oven due to the sizes of each oven and the warming spot on the top. This was not the most reasonable priced oven, but well worth the extra money for the quality and service provided

Love this range. It is a bit difficult to clean though in terms of glass top cleaning liquid and cooking debris getting stuck under the plastic frame around the cook top. Also, it only has a few stainless steel accents: it would be more aesthetically pleasing if there were more stainless and less black plastic.

My wife and I are “foodies”, and this double oven slide-in performs as expected for GE’s range reputation. Very utilitarian and aesthetically pleasing. Bonus: the electronics are user friendly.
