Great inexpensive Tablet with major issue!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Smart Tablet tow weeks ago. Within three days of having it Google updated the Google App which facilitates the ambient mode and "hey Google" stuff when the tablet is docked, and those features NO LONGER WORK. I am a computer tech and system builder with years of experience and this issue stumped me after 10 days of troubleshooting and back and forth with both Lenovo and Google support. The update keeps on updating to the newest version and breaks the "Smart" function on this device. Uninstalling the Google App updates, resetting the tablet to factory settings, turning off auto updates for this app and the whole Google Play Store, turning off updates in developer mode have all been unsuccessful in fixing or even working around this issue as the update still runs every time within a half a day or less! the only way to stop it is to disable the internet wifi connection which of course defeats the purpose of this device! Many users are having this same problem and it has been an issue about a year ago in the Lenovo forums with similar devices which took months to resolve if ever? I returned the device which otherwise is not too bad of a mid range tablet. I bought it specifically for it's smart capabilities as a Google Assistant smart screen when docked/locked so it is useless to me the way it is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Performance is not as good as a tablet released a year ago - Lenovo tab 4 10 Plus. I bought this tablet as a replacement for Tab4 10 plus. but ended up giving this to my daughter who now uses it for Youtube and kids games. Not sure if the CPU is lesser powered. but this is not meant for gaming.
Display is good for media consumption. Sound is good. Dock is meh - Depends on your intention to use. if u put a case for you tablet the dock is pretty much useless as you would have to keep removing your tablet off the case to place it on the doc. Dock does not provide any other functionality other that contact points for charging the tablet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All good except battery life very short lived compare to previous tablet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Performance is poor!

This is a review of 2.5 months of use. Google assistance on this device is glitchy and the device hangs on you quite sometimes! Design is great though, but performance always comes before the design!
