My husband has wanting a programmable coffeemaker for some time now. We finally purchased this one and we couldnt be happier. We use it to brew coffee before he gets up for work and it's wonderful. It comes on at the proper time and has an auto-shutoff that makes life less stressful if we happen to forget to turn the pot off before leaving. It makes a noise to alert you when the pot is ready and when it shuts off later. It also has a function to pause brewing if you pour yourself a cup before it finishes. No mess! I would definitely recommemd this product to anyone and everyone in the market for a programmable coffeemaker.

It’s difficult to get the water in the reservoir both the placement and the opening is very small The knob to set brewing choices is made of plastic and seems very flimsy
Also after brewing there is an unusual amount of oils and grounds spewed on the inside cover and around the coffee grounds filter true for either a paper filter or the one provided. Overall a bit of a disappointment I expect better design and function from cuisinart
