The Meural does not support 30 fps mp4's. Unfortunately because of this I will have to return the device.

Worst Possible Design for Power Supply

It's relatively new, but everything seems nice. However, it is nearly impossible to understand why Netgear would design the power supply as they did. If you want to mount the frame over the electric supply for the cleanest possible look, please know that this is nearly impossible without extreme measures because it is wildly oversized for the space between the wall and frame. Lunacy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With so many gadgets out there competing for your attention, the Meural 2 really stands out as a well built, attractive product that just makes you smile every time you look at it. Setup was a breeze and the photo quality is amazing. It looks like a physical photo frame than a screen, especially during the day. I highly recommend it if you want to make the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving my Meural Canvas, I immediately fired it up and went to the website to learn how to use it. It is an amazing product! I love that I could add my own pictures and not just from what was available, anything I like! I loaded old pictures from childhood, friends we don't get to see. Now we just sit back and watch the frame as the pictures change and bring back so many happy and bittersweet memories of times past. I highly recommend this product.

Incredibly versatile way of displaying art

Initially, I was skeptical of the ability of the screen to display art in a variety of lighting scenarios- I thought it would just be a big digital photo display. In use though, the screen is amazing in it's ability to adapt from bright to dim in different light, and lights artwork very realistically- almost like in a museum. This screen makes photos display better too. This device is so versatile, I can't commit to a single location for it. I built an adjustable stand to mount it on tables, and replaced all the mounts on my existing artwork with cleats so I can swap them with the Meural for "art-on-demand". It took me a while to get used to the file storage system, and I was skeptical of the cost for the subscription service. But once I considered the cost of replacing existing art every so often, the Meural subscription got reasonable fast. The fi8loe management is actually easier than I thought. This is one of those devices you didnb't you you needed until you got one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Meural Canvas II

The product itself is nice and I enjoy having new art on my wall throughout the day. Unfortunately, the item I received is having black 'shadows' appear at random from day to day that wipes out portions of the paintings. I've been working with Netgear for 1-2 weeks on a software based fix but nothing has addressed the issue yet.
