The tech itself is great! I got the membership so I could access more artwork, and now my work calls are always accompanied by great paintings in the background.
I originally purchased the protection film for the canvas, but it's so glossy I had to take it off (save your money!).
Also, it might take you a bit to set up the canvas (it took me about 5 tries to get it connected to the network) and get used to the app, which has some very specific ways of doing things.
Even with the few issues at first, I highly recommend the Canvas!

Impressive Item with Just a Few Flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I thought the Meural Canvas was an incredible feat of technology. First, the packaging was so nice and made it feel like a very fancy, high-quality product. I love that it connects to an app so that photos from my phone can be easily and quickly sent to the Canvas. I love the elegant frame that truly made it look like a piece of art or a large framed portrait. Picture quality was good for the most part. Pictures taken on my phone which has a pretty good camera were a bit pixelated but not to the point of bothering me. Other pictures I tried on the Canvas were crystal clear, to the point that I thought I was watching an HD television. The app is pretty intuitive and easy to use. I haven't experienced any glitches or technical difficulties. The one downfall of this that I was ready to really like was the gesture feature. It's extremely particular and if you don't move at the correct speed in just the right spot, your motion won't register. Thankfully, the app can work as a remote so not all is lost but I was very excited about that part of this product and it just didn't live up to expectations. I would also say this is way heavier than I anticipated so it might be harder to make it work on something like plaster walls. It comes with a nice leaning pad that holds it in place on a surface so it can lean against the wall instead, which is what I used.

Enjoy it immensely! It is everything I expected and more. The ability to display my own photos and to curate different photo “playlists” for specific occasions or groups of guests is always a visual treat for my guests. It’s so wonderful at family gatherings or just having bbq with friends. The artwork and art collections are spectacular and inspiring. Wonderful purchase.

Nicely fills a niche

After using a Meural MC327 (dark wood frame) for 9 months, I can say that the unit is reliable, save 2-3 times of having to unplug and replug to “reset” the wifi connection. The initial set up wasn’t the smoothest, but wasn’t horrible either.
The supplied art and uploaded photos (best in 16:9 format) look great, especially given the overall image size. The build quality of the unit seems very good as well. Overall, Meural has a great product for larger image size displays.

Please add google photos integration and consider reducing size of adapter! Adapter still too big for a media/recessed outlet.
