combines the GPS features with pictures of holes/hazards/greens/yardage markers with the laser rangefinder feature. have not seen another laser rangefinder with this feature. well worth the higher price tag from normal rangefinders in my opinion.

Great Features

While I am happy I bought this, it is extremely touchy when trying to sight a pin because of how it zooms in on a pin and magnifies an unsteady hand. It would be much better if the zoom was adjustable so us old guys that might not have rock steady hands could hold the range finder steadier

It is accurate, using the GPS gives me all the information I need regarding hazards and layups it even has the wind speed and directions to help in deciding whether to club up or down. Great product...

Rangefinder with everything

This rangefinder has everything you would want. Things to be aware of; the cursor is very sensitive and requires getting used to, if you travel a lot to play golf make sure you download new/updated courses every month and lastly, I wished in their algorithm Garmin could factor in altitude and temperature distance in their calculations

The Z82 connects to the iphone. I don’t understand why the Garmin golf app will not track club distance by sending the geolocation to the phone and allowing the user to select the club. This training aid would be so incredibly valuable given the Z82 already has wind and elevation that can help the user better understand their club choices. Also, the app should be able to suggest three clubs for front/flag/back of green approaches. The current golf app is worthless other than it gives the user a static view of the course layout and a scorecard option. This is a terrible waste of data exchange opportunity. In its current state, the Z82 doesn’t offer the value expected at the price point.

Bought this to also be able to see wind direction and speed. It continually disconnects from phone while playing every time. For the price, disappointed. Should have just bought a simple rangefinder.
