Great Little Kitchen Gadget

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun kitchen toy to use and experiment with. Super easy to use and I love that most of the parts are dishwasher safe. The base is the only part that is not dishwasher safe as it has the electrical cord attached. You can easily wipe out the base with a wet wash cloth or paper towel. I would say each egg bite pocket takes about 1 egg. I use extra large eggs myself but they worked. I didn't use the recipes that came with the machine this time around and it seemed so easy, I just made up my own combinations instead. I mixed up two eggs in a bowl and then spread the egg mixture between the two cups. Then I added ham and swiss or feta and bacon and onion to the other. You add the 100 ml of water using the little cup to the base, then the egg bites tray, the lid and plug it in. That's it, both lights come up and it does its thing. Once the green light turns off you just unplug the machine and let it sit for a short time to cool down.
My only suggestions for improvements would be, a longer cord, some sort of bell or chime to alert you that it is done so that you are not constantly checking to see if the green light is on or off and maybe include an auto shut-off feature once the green lights turns off.

Perfect eggs

Great for traveling because of the extreme compactness of the unit and they are ready in a few minutes. Very easy to use and comes with a few delicious recipes. You could easily modify your own recipe to your liking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Egg Bites Maker is a wonderful and very convenient product. It has a sturdy base, measuring cup, lid, and removable tray. All removable items are dishwasher safe. Fill the measuring cup with water. Pour it into the middle section of the base. Place tray on top. Do not preheat item.Prepare egg mixture and pour on tray. Cover with lid. Plug base in. The red and green light will come on. When the green light goes off the eggs are done. Now it time to enjoy some delicious and fluffy egg bites.

Easy Directions, Best for 1 Person

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Egg Bites Maker came with very easy to read directions which made using the machine for the first time a very smooth experience. It took a bit longer than expected to cook. If I needed to cook for multiple people it would be quicker on a stove top, but for a single meal it works great!. It leaves enough time to prepare something else to go along with if wanted or prepare a cup of coffee. Eggs were nice and fluffy after cooking. Poached eggs will take a little more getting used to the machine to achieve the perfect yolk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and mom made several batches of egg bites, some plain and some with bell pepper. It is really easy to use. We did cook them about 5 minutes longer than the directions stated but that was personal preference for texture. It comes apart really easily for cleaning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] was not very impressed with the egg bite maker, other than it was pretty cute with the little chick look and clean-up is easy.
The first item I made was soft poached eggs. We normally make poached eggs in the microwave and it takes 2 minutes. The egg bite maker took 7 minutes to make 2 soft poached eggs. Also, you have to stand there and wait for the green light to turn off to know when they are done. An alarm would be helpful for timing.

The other type I made was an egg beater and cheese egg bite. Since I had to use more water in the reservoir than when I poached the eggs, it took almost 10 minutes to cook. I would rather cook it in a pan.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great gadget to use and was very easy to get started. I worked quickly and cooked the eggs well. I’m not a fan of the spongy type of eggs so this wasn’t a huge hit for me but my family didn’t mind. I do wish it was larger to make more at once but I understand the appeal. Cleaning is a little tricky with the electrical cord but was easy enough to wipe out where the water heated. I really think this will great for on to go people who want something tasty and healthy and don’t always have the time to stand and cook at a stove.
