Very cool appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy the Air Fry Countertop Oven. For Superbowl Sunday, we used three of the features and it was awesome! We did some air frying, toasting and broiling. Made it "super" nice because the number of dirty pans was minimal. (The pans do clean very easily!). For air frying, you will want to follow the Hamilton Beach recommendations, and not those on the food package. We noticed that air frying takes about two or three times longer than oil. I am OK with that, personally, because I do not like the oil mess and I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been burned by oil splatters through the years. Very neat all-in-one product. Not too large and not too heavy, either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cooks fast. I almost burned a few things going by the directions on the instruction booklet. I do have a small concern. One of the screws fell out when I moved it around my kitchen. I tried to screw it back in, but it was too small and just fell right out. I dos have a another screw just slightly bigger, that I was able to screw in and it fit. But it was also bent some where the screw goes in.I meant to take pictures but I forgot. But it doesn't effect it, still works great. I have to watch the things I cook in it, cooks pretty fast, which is awesome. But I like it a lot.

So many features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this air fryer toaster oven has so many functions: toast, broil, air fry, convection oven, & bake! It comes with a crumb tray, pan, oven rack, and air frying basket so you're ready to go. We followed the instructions to run it empty for 10 minutes to before using it to make sweet potato fries. In our oven, they take forever and come out mushier than I've ever liked, but these were crispy after 20 minutes at 400! So good with a side of bbq sauce! I can't wait to try out potato wedges! My husband used the air fry basket to do frozen wings/drumsticks last night & they turned out great! It gets quite warm on the outside at the higher temperatures, so be aware of what it's sitting next to. Don't forget to check out their recipe bank! I'm expecting this to come in handy for summertime meals, as an alternative to heating the house up with the big oven! Check the dimensions! It was bigger than I thought it'd be!

Bigger than expected

I hate how much space it takes up on counters and because of its size, it is also hard to store on a shelf! Another thing that I did not like about the oven (personal pet peeve) is that it come with so many rack inserts for the inside of the oven. Now, for someone who has never used an air fryer, I was about nervous to try it out after seeing the warning on front of oven telling you not to open if your food burst into flames! Although I was a bit hesitant, I decided to start off simple and fry some potato wedges and zucchini’s first. Now on the directions paper insert, there is a ton of information on it and the font was small and a bit hard to read but once I figured the basics out and got it going I was pretty impressed. The potatoes and veggies were so good. It takes little to no oil to get them perfect and crispy on the outside while still soft on the inside and without all the greasy mess! Can’t wait to try wings next! I must add that I do love that this air fry oven does it all, frys, bakes, toasts, broils, etc so that was a big plus that makes up for its gigantic size! I do like this oven but I would not recommend it if your kitchen is right on counter space or storage space!

Multi-purpose Countertop Appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected and received the Hamilton Beach Air Fryer Countertop Oven as part of the Hamilton Beach Ambassador Program.
The Hamilton Beach Air Fryer Countertop Oven is a substantial appliance that appears to be well-built. The unit measures 12.7 High x 17.6 Wide x 15.7 Deep. Keep these dimensions in mind to be sure you have enough space on your counter. The stainless steel finish adds to its appearance. This appliance can function as a toaster, oven, convection oven, broiler, and air fryer.
I tested the Hamilton Beach Air Fryer Countertop Oven as a toaster, oven, convection oven, and air fryer. As with any new appliance, read the instruction before you use the appliance and heed any cautions mentioned in the instructions. Also, there is a certain amount of trial and error before you are confident your results are what you expected.
As a toaster, I found that this works well especially if you have larger slices of bread. The toaster provided even browning, but slices in the back browned faster than slices in the front.
As an oven and convection oven, it worked very well. I baked my standard Chocolate Chip Cookies in both oven and convection modes. The resulting cookies were perfect. The only difference I noticed is the cookies baked in the oven mode spread a little more than the cookies in convection mode. Until using this appliance I had never used a convection oven and it was easy to adapt a standard recipe by either reducing the temperature by 25 degrees or reducing the baking time by 25 percent.
As an air fryer, the end results were what I expected but it took trial and error to get there. I didn’t have experience using an air fryer so I relied on the scanty instructions included with the appliance and checking the Hamilton Beach website. I used the air fryer for frozen onion rings, frozen mozzarella sticks, and homemade chicken strips. The onion rings were crispy but needed to be rotated halfway through the cooking time. The mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and nicely melted on the inside and were done long before the time indicated in the cooking guide section of the instructions. The chicken strips were crispy and tender, but took longer than the information available on the website indicated. For any meat cooked in the air fryer, I would use a thermometer to ensure the meat is cooked properly.
Cleaning is easy. When the oven has cooled, remove the tray, rack, pan, or air fryer rack, soak in water with perhaps a little Dawn, wipe with a soft cloth, rinse, and dry completely. Inside the oven, simply wipe with a damp soft cloth.
What are the negatives with this appliance?
1. The temperature dial has 50 degree gradations. If you have a recipe that requires a 325 degree setting, you just have to make your best guess at the correct setting.
2. The power on light isn’t very bright.
3. There isn’t a light on the inside. To check on the food you need to open the door and remove it from the appliance.
4. The Cooking Guide included in the instructions provides minimal information and specifies suggested cooking times. This was the most frustrating part of using the air fryer. I spent more time than I expected referring to information on the web. My expectation was the appliance would have included enough information specific to this appliance that I could essentially plug and go. It would be great to include a cookbook with the appliance, especially for air fryer items.

Changed my cooking life forever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hamilton Beach Air Fry Countertop Oven has changed the way I cook forever! This air fryer saves so much time when cooking. The 1st thing we cooked in it was hot wings. My kids and husband fell in love immediately. The wings were crisper and the taste was 10 times better than using a microwave or the oven. The next thing I did was chicken. It usually takes me 1hr to cook and cut up the chicken for dinner but with the air fryer the chicken was cooked in 10 mins and it came out juicier than ever. The last big thing I've cooked in it was pork chops. The pork chops took 15 mins to make and they were the best I've ever had. This air fryer has not just saved me time but it's saved me from a bunch of dirty dishes too. It comes with 3 different racks and they are very easy to clean. This air fryer is very simple and easy to use. My kids come home from school and can make their own food if I'm at work that day. I love how it also serves as a convection oven, toaster and broiler on top of the air fryer function. I seriously haven't used my oven or toaster since I've had the Hamilton Beach Air Fry Countertop Oven. I would recommend this to everyone! I have told my friends and family about this and 3 of them have already bought one and love it.

Five Stars for every setting

The steak I broiled was perfect throughout & the chicken & potatoes I air fried were crispy on the outside and moist & chewy on the inside. This product is top notch!

It was a little larger than I thought it would be but it is versatile and I love the stainless look. I had been wanting an air fryer so I was excited to try this function first. I made french fries and they were very good. So much healthier than traditional frying. We have also used it to make pizza, chicken fingers and biscuits. Everything was very good and I loved not having to turn on the big oven. The versatility of this oven will make it good addition to any kitchen.
